About Me
My name is Laura. I am a mom of four, a military wife, a communications professional, and a grieving sister who is passionate about guiding people to Jesus through their darkest times.

I started journaling as a way to express my feelings after my sister's death. The thing was, I had no feelings to write down. I was so deeply broken and in shock that my mind was blank. The fog of grief is real. I struggled with feeling isolated within my very own being.
Fast forward several years (more on my grief journey below) and I am thriving in my new normal! How? Through what I learned about bibliotherapy and journal therapy. I knew I needed to share this with the world and that's how Hope Beyond Grief was created.

I don't only write about grief. I also touch on motherhood and feminine identity in my blog. There is a message here for all of God's children.

Praying hope over you,
Laura
Hope Beyond Grief was created through the pain of losing an only sister to brain cancer. Fog, confusion, uncertainty, shattered faith. It was in the darkest moments of despair that God spoke to Laura through His Word. He carried her when she could no longer stand. He waited when she could no longer form words to pray. He loved. He healed.
Softly, tenderly, and by grace alone, Laura began to rise up as a new creation. A woman who deeply knows her Savior and what His life and death means for her and for her lost one. He is the reason her sister is rejoicing in His presence. He is the reason your loved one, or your situation, will be made new. Here she stands, years later, bold, confident, and in a peculiar way, thankful for the opportunity that grief awarded her to dive deep with the Savior and thrive in her new normal.
We wish these things for you.
We have dreams for you to experience gentle healing. Dreams for you to flourish.
